Ever since I started watching Portlandia, I knew that this familiar trope would someday make its way into an episode. I’m not sure if Ryan Adachi, today’s Fade of the Day, even watches the show. But if he does, I’m glad he doesn’t take the tongue-in-cheek comedy to heart with his Tellason Gustave 16.5 oz. jeans by taking them to water a total of 3 times over the course of 13 months.
They’ve achieved a hole or two, with some nicely contrasted fades and an overall brighter shade of indigo thanks to the soaks. Gotta love that hidden red tab fade, too. Take it from Ryan, you are allowed to wash these jeans.
